AND WHY, PRAY TELL, DO I HAVE A WEBSITE? Well; since you asked I guess I'll havee to tell you. Of course my name is Joel Howell and since this site is located at www.joelhowell.com, and you are here checking it out, I would really be surprised to find you didn't know my name. You may not know who I am but at least you know my name and if you spend any time at all browsing through this site you'll probably get to know me a little bit. So, with that out of the way, on to the why of the matter. Why put together a website? Why indeed would any fairly normal human being expend valuable time and energy putting up a website for all the world to see? Well; that's the point now isn't it? The question really isn't "Why?" but "Why not?" Why not tell the world who you are and a little something about you? Why not let it all hang out? Why not expose the world to your thoughts, feelings, ideas and desires? Why not dream aloud? Why keep who you are to yourself? Every one of us has something to say so why not say it here? Here is just as good as there, wherever there is. So; here I am. Anyone who would care to can browse this site, read a little about me and maybe even get to know me a little. Here is where I'm letting it all hang out!  Communication! Ask ony one of my friends or family and they will tell you I'm terrible at communication. I'm not talking about the actual act of communicating though; I'm pretty good at that. I'm talking about the staying in touch kind of communication. You know...the I haven't heard from you in ten years kind of communication. Or should I say disconnection? Well; that's another reason for this website. Since I'll be putting my life up here everyone will be able to see what some of my interests are and what I've been doing recently. I have tons of projects to complete around here so I will be posting those along with photos and descriptions. Some of you might like to check out some of the stuff I've written so that will be posted as well. Also; I'll be posting comments that relate to both my recent past as well as the distant past. This will be interesting stuff so be sure to hang around for that.
